How to build a track and field recruiting profile

Quick answer

A good track recruiting profile shows your best legal marks with results links, how your marks have improved, a short video, your grades and graduation year, and how to reach you. Keep it on one page that loads fast on a phone.

Check your mark against every college

Step by step

  1. Marks with proof. List your best marks per event with the meet, date and a results link, legal marks first.
  2. Progression. Show season-by-season bests. Coaches recruit improvement as much as the current mark.
  3. Video. Add a recent race or competition video, plus a short training clip for field events.
  4. Academics. GPA, test scores if you have them, and your intended major.
  5. Basics. Graduation year, high school, club, height and weight for throwers and jumpers, and your contact info.

Where to host it

A simple page, a shared document or a results profile link all work, as long as one link has everything. Put that link in every coach email.

Common questions

Do I need a paid profile?

No. A free page or document with the right information works.

Should I include meets where I ran slower?

Include your bests and your progression. Coaches understand off days.
