How fast do you need to run the 3200m in college? (Boys)

The times college programs list for men's 3000m, by division. Each range is the middle half of programs (25th to 75th percentile); a dash means too few programs list that level (NCAA D3 and NAIA use Target and Walk-On). Colleges run the 3000m, so these are converted back to the high school 3200m: 3200m × 0.9314 = 3000m, then 3000m × 1.7186 = 5000m (Riegel formula).

Junior colleges (NJCAA) are shown as national benchmarks, the 150th, 75th and 30th best marks in the country this season, not cutoffs. Walk-On: The minimum mark required to earn a spot on the team. Recruit: The range where coaches typically start recruiting conversations and scholarship discussions begin. Not a guarantee. Target: The marks that typically grant a full-ride scholarship, depending on school funding.
