How to use these numbers

Treat the table as the middle of each division. A school near the top of D1 will ask for more, and a smaller program will ask for less. Search your own mark on the standards finder to see the exact schools it fits.

Common questions

Are these the official standards for every school?

No. 134 schools publish their own standards, which are shown with a star on each school page. The rest come from conference results and show where athletes actually placed.

Do high school times convert to college events?

Yes. The 1600m, 3200m and 300m hurdles are converted to college events automatically. See the conversion tables.

Does hitting a standard guarantee a scholarship?

No. Standards show where coaches look, but scholarships depend on the school's budget, roster needs, grades and timing.
